Colorful, bold, adorable, I could go on and on about how amazing this session was.
I've known this family through a dear friend who you hear me talk about all the time (www.telltalesphotography.com), I think seven years ago! When they contacted me about their Christmas photos this year, I was ecstatic and probably did a little dance in my living room. If there's one thing people know about Katie is she knows how to STYLE - anything - houses, parties, her kids, her life! She even makes the cutest necklaces for little girls. Her daughters were wearing two. Check them out for yourself at her Etsy shop - https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheFancyEBoutique.
When their session day approached, they had to cancel because of sickness. We decided to reschedule for a week day and wouldn't you know, the weather people were calling for rain. Looking at the map, I could tell it was sporadic little cells across the Phoenix Valley. I called Katie and asked her if we should go for it and I heard the best three words, "Let's do it."
Katie planned their outfits perfectly around the turquoise truck. We started there then went out in a new field I am obsessed with. The skies started getting VERY dark and then bright red and purple. It looked like it was an illustration out of a children's book. The last photos in this post were barely enhanced. The sky was that cool looking. And Ella had that much flair!
Thank you Katie for being YOU! And thank you to your family for being so much fun to photograph and hang out with. I loved every second of your session. Lots of love,
