{Kane} Family urban downtown session | Phoenix, AZ Photographer

Dear friends and one of my first families I photographed referred this kind and fun family to me. I had very limited availability but we were thankfully able to squeeze them in right at the end of September!

We had a location in mind for the evening but because the temperatures were going to be too hot, we changed last minute to explore downtown Phoenix. As soon as I saw an old brick building, I knew it would be perfect especially with their bright neon colors they chose.

I always tell families to bring toys or activities that their kids typically enjoy. In this case, a super awesome wood sword, bubbles and balls joined us for the session. There was no direction really needed for this family to play because that's all we did the whole morning. Oh, and DANCING!  There was definitely a lot of dancing involved. I was in lifestyle photography heaven! The light, colors, location....all couldn't have worked out any better.

Thank you K family for your flexibility and for being YOU! You are such a joyful family who really knows how to enjoy each other's company. It was a pleasure getting to witness the special bond you all have. Lots of love,

Precious Jackson, 3 weeks new | Phoenix, AZ Photographer

Back in April, I had the best time photographer Jon and Alison's wedding. At the time, she was a few months pregnant and was so excited to welcome a baby boy in the Fall. September came and so did Jackson....six weeks early. They had quite the scare as he was wheeled to surgery the morning after he was born. Thankfully, he was able to go home after a few weeks where his big sister could NOT wait to hug and cuddle him.

We were just going to do a lifestyle type of session but because I didn't see his eyes the whole two hours I was there, we snuck some posed shots in too. He was the perfect little model and seriously, those eye lashes are going to make girls swoon!

Congratulations, Jon and Alison! I can't believe how big your little guy has already gotten since September! What a true blessing he is. Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph him at just a few weeks old. Lots of love,

{DeMartino} Family | Phoenix West Valley, AZ Teen and Family Photographer

This family! I have known Shiloh for a few years after a friend referred her to do my hair. I am very simple having basically the same look since I was 5 (No joke!) and see her maybe 2-3 times a year for a trim, but I always enjoy those visits. Instantly, I felt like I knew her for years. When she asked about doing photos, I couldn't wait. In exchange, she did my hair and make up for my updated head shots by Michelle Praskins Photography. I never felt more beautiful!

Back to HER family's session! We met up at Verrado on a gorgeous day in September. It was finally breathable weather and we still had the most incredible sunset, which was perfect for some silhouette shots.  She has the most incredibly sweet and can we say gorgeous family?!

Thank you, Shiloh, for letting me take your updated family photos! And for letting your amazing daughter assist me on shoots and watch my boys. I'm so incredibly thankful for you all!

Eric + Britney married at Agave of Sedona | Phoenix, AZ West Valley Wedding Photographer

When I first met Britney almost six years ago, I laughed a ton and felt incredibly welcome. She has the most infectious personality. You can't help but enjoy yourself in her company. When she messaged me to let me know she and Eric were getting married after sharing a life together for over nine years, I was over the moon happy for her and couldn't wait to be part of their wedding day.

September in Sedona can still be hot, but it turned out to be perfect thanks to some clouds! As Britney walked down the aisle with her hand linked in her dad's arm, the look on Eric's face was of pure happiness. I held back the tears as I watched them grasp hands and make vows to each other to spend the rest of their lives together. During the middle of the ceremony, they brought their daughter, Piper, up to light some candles to symbolize their unity as a family. She is their everything as they are to each other.

After the ceremony and family photos, we were able to sneak away for some alone time at a Sedona golf course. Seriously, these two know how to enjoy every second together. We laughed and got serious and had many, "oh, my goodness, the views are breathtaking," moments.

The night ended at Cucina Rustica for an amazing dinner and a little dancing.

Thank you, Britney and Eric, for having me capture your day. You two are married!!! I couldn't be happier for you both. You are so loved by your family and friends. And you sure know how to throw a party! xoxo,
