While researching the location and planning Elizabeth's senior session, I came across a spot in between two buildings other photographers took their clients to. Because Scottsdale isn't in my backyard, I got on the handy dandy Google maps and looked for any brick building in the area. I, at least had a starting point, but had no idea how I'd find it.
When I got down to Oldtown, it was quite busy so I went down a random road and parked. Before I got out of the car, I saw it! Can you believe I parked directly in front of the spot I was going to go search for? Thanks, God! Then, all I needed to do was meet up with sweet Elizabeth and her momma and start shooting!
We walked around the busy Civic Center Plaza. Elizabeth is the youngest of three and the only girl. So this time was so incredibly special. Watching Elizabeth's mom was one of my favorite part of the shoot. I could just see how proud she was of her daughter who will be heading to the University of Arizona to eventually become a doctor!! I'm proud of her, too. I know she has what it takes.
Elizabeth, your smile just radiates joy! Thank you for trusting me and totally opening up during your senior photos! Good luck at U of A! I'm sure your entire family will miss you dearly but are also rooting you on in life. Lots of love,
***disclaimer: There was no harming or trampling of any flowers in the making of these photos. There happened to a perfect little spot of just dirt where Elizabeth fit perfectly. And she may have leaped into the spot 😉.
