Ella turns ONE! | West Valley, AZ Cake Smash Photographer

Some people when you meet them, you just know they're going to become your friend. Meet this adorable family of four and my new friends! That has to be the biggest perk of being a photographer, hands down.

For Miss Ella's first birthday, we went hiking into the woods. This location is everything Arizona is not. I absolutely love it here and visit with my boys often. The trails closer earlier than I would prefer but with grass, trees, and um, water, I forgive the preserve!

What's a first birthday session with a CAKE SMASH?! Ella took a few tastes and didn't quite "smash" the cake. She wasn't so sure about photos towards the end until she got a yummy m&m and cake. Delish! Big sister even joined in on the cake. It was so cute to put the camera down and just watch the girls in a field of grass chomping on some cake. In my world, that's called bliss. As we were leaving we foudn out the the curator was goign to chop the grass down that morning! Thank goodness he got too busy to do so!!!

Thank you so much, Ella, for such a great session. You are ADORABLE and just full of personality. I enjoyed singing, dancing and exploring with you and Layla. Lots of love,

Chris, Valley Vista High School Senior | Phoenix West Valley Senior Photographer

Throughout the year, I only get to squeeze a few senior sessions in. Sobb.

I love seniors. There’s just something about this time in their lives and the focus just being on them that I can’t get enough of.

Until now, I’ve only photographed senior girls. Chris was my first senior guy and he did great. It was a little different seeing that he only had one outfit instead of many. He chose to go to the White Tanks Library and surrounding desert. His lovely mom joined us and even got in a few photos.

Thank you, Chris, for your kindness and for being so fun to photograph. Good luck at UTI next year. You’re going to do FANTASTIC!

Kendyll, full of personality! | Surprise, AZ Photographer

Kendyll was turning TWO so her parents wanted to do something a little different for her photos than the traditional studio stuff. I now offer “one child” sessions and absolutely love them. I get to sit back and just watch that kiddo play…with my camera in hand.  It’s a lot easier to capture their full personality when there’s not so much going on.

Before the session, I found out that Kendyll has a friend named, “Kitty” who goes everywhere with her and she likes to pretend like she’s a cat. How stinking cute?! And that she is shy at first but will slowly warm up. Knowing this, we started with her stuffed friends then gave her something to do. What two year old doesn’t like blowing bubbles?

As the session went on, her personality really came out. She ran non-stop and somehow I captured many moments IN FOCUS. Woot woot. My favorite moment was when we put the balloons down and she, on her own, just kept running into them. Her little laugh would light up any room....or park J.

Thank you {  } family for letting me chase your little girl around for over an hour. She is such a doll. Thank you! Lots of love,
