hot hot hot | Tempe, Phoenix, Arizona Child Photographer

Last year when we did {E} and {N}'s birthday session in July (in between their birthdays) and it was so hot. We still managed to have fun exploring a resort but the kids' faces got very red and we were all a sweaty mess. So this year, we had the genius idea to do them in May. Well, of course, the weekend we picked happened to be over 100 and one of the hottest days in May. But...despite our fabulous desert heat, we managed to still get some gorgeous shots. I mean, how couldn't we with kids this cute?!

Being one of my first families I've ever taken pictures of - I can't believe {E} was only THREE then!!! - I've come to just love hanging out with them. And they have become quite comfortable with me. I love how they had their own ideas of what would make for a great photo. The one spot, I wasn't so sure of, but it has to be one of my faves! Always great to truly capture personalities and allow the kids to have creative reign, too!

We started at Tempe Beach Park. It's been a while since I've been there but FYI, there really isn't a beach. Ya, I was bummed, too! Ha! Then we ended on Mill Avenue. It allowed for the kids to get cooled down a little and a totally different look. Win-Win!

When we were finished, they went and got dressed while I did a mini session for their friends. THEN - we went up to the Sun Devil Stadium where the fun really began. I should do friend sessions more often because I always love them.

Thank you {M} family once again for being so amazing and just incredible to work with. I absolutely love your family and love being able to watch your kids grow up through my lens. Lots and lots of love!
