50 years | peoria, arizona extended family photographer

It is summer.

In Arizona.

It is HOT!

I try not to do outdoor sessions during the months of June, July and August but when I got a call from a sweet woman wanting to do an extended family shoot to celebrate her parents upcoming 50th wedding anniversary, I had to say yes! Thankfully we had okay weather bright and early in the morning. It was warm but not unbearable.

This family consists of two amazingly sweet parents and their three daughters' families; two of which were far from home - Washington and Romania! They even managed to do very well with the warm temps.

As everyone arrived to a small church oma (grandma) wanted to start at, I could tell it was going to be a very fun and easy shoot. There was already so much laughter before I even pulled my camera out of my bag.

We were able to go to four different locations and really explore downtown Peoria. I love how we were able to capture so many different looks and each relationship. My favorite pictures were all of the individual kids as they all are so unique and just full of personality.

Thank you {P}, {B), {P}, and {H} families! It was such a blessing to get to meet you all and capture the incredible relationship you have with each other. Hope everyone enjoyed their time in sunny Arizona!

oh boy | scottsdale, arizona newborn and baby photographer

The biggest compliment to a photographer is a referral. It seriously means the world to me! This family was referred by a family I absolutely adore and just can't wait to see them and their little girl again. I love that these friends met from running into each other twice at baby stores! Now those are friends are meant to be!

When arriving to a newborn session, I never know what to expect since I do them at the clients' home. This family completely remodled their house themselves and it was impeccable! I absolutely loved their modern style. They had a perfect spot at the front of their house with huge windows, nice dark tile floors and the most gorgeous white chair. They got the chair with the house! I knew I had to incorporate it somehow.

We began with family pictures. Big sis is only 14 months older than little {M} and she did AMAZING. At times, she even seemed interested in her new baby brother. It wasn't easy getting the two together but I think we had about 1 min and 30 seconds and nailed it!

And Mr. {M} was such a dream to work with. And what a beautiful newborn baby with that thick dark hair. And he is welcomed by some very loving family!

Thank you, {M} family for welcoming into your home and trusting me with your sweet babies. Congratulations! Lots of love.

"my boys" | Phoenix, Arizona child lifestyle photographer

"My boys." I say this a lot. When saying that phrase I'm referring to my four and two year old crazy fun silly little dudes who keep me going all. day. long. This family has a four year old and TWO two year olds which means add some more craziness and fun and a whole lot of noise!

When this {super} mom first contacted me, she wanted their pictures taken as soon as possible. With it being summer in the desert (read: blazing temps), we decided to do an at-home lifestyle session. I couldn't have picked a better location!

The get-to-know you questionnaire I received before the session seriously had me laughing out loud. And from the moment the oldest ran into the door, I knew it was going to be nuts. And it was, but in a totally good way. There was so much going on that I didn't stop clicking my shutter for the entire hour and a half session. This session wins the most amount of pictures I've ever taken in that time. We even managed to get a few pictures with EVERYONE in the frame and even interacting. Thank goodness for all the planes flying overhead. Incredible!

Thank you {N} family for being a hoot to work with. Wow, I haven't used that word since...well, ever...but really it was. And it was an honor to get to capture your boys in the place you call home. Lots of love.
I got to see these sweet boys again for the twins' planes, trains and cars birthday party! We snapped a few more pictures since we didn't get any of the three of them without balloon strings or books. We even got one with them (sort of) smiling! Need to offer marshmallows on a stick to all the two year olds I take pictures of! Thank you again {N} family! The party was AMAZING and decorated so stinking cute. AND my little guy has to use his choo choo soap every night.

...had to throw one more in of {E} enjoying the amazing inflatable water slide!!!
