Miss Alice came a little earlier than expected but because of the crazy holidays we kept her session date the same. I never know how a newborn session is going to flow until I get there. It's partly why I love doing on location newborn shoots. I have to figure out where the best light is, spot out possible props the family may have and go according to the baby's schedule.
Sweet Alice was a dream to work with. With her being almost two weeks old and a little more used to this outside world, I wasn't sure how long she'd sleep. I had nothing to worry about! And when she was awake, I think she was probably the most relaxed newborn I've ever photographed. Towards the end of our session as she was half awake, she even gave me the best sleep smile! Those are truly the best!
For the session, I had a little helper, aka, the big sister! I knew from when I met her at the maternity session that she would do so great. We had a fun time chatting as she told me all about her new baby sister. She even did so well holding her like a big girl. These two are going to share so many amazing memories together and I can already tell Charlotte is going to teach her so much.
