I love witnessing first time parents with their brand new bundle of joy. It's amazing how someone's life is truly changed and flipped upside down when you welcome a baby into the world. You can read all the books in the world, but figuring out what the baby likes and doesn't like all comes with practice and time. Lyla's dad had all the holds down and already knew what Lyla liked and didn't like. And Lyla's gorgeous mommy was just a natural. The love that surrounded this little girl was just amazing.
For most of the session, Lyla was nice and sleepy but she didn't love when I would lift my hands off of her. With great help from her parents we were able to capture this little beauty in many different ways including the "caught by a fisherman" pose or whatever her dad kept calling the cheesecloth poses. I loved it! I actually think he had a name for every pose which I should've written down because they were pretty clever.
Lyla's dad is in the Air Force which I am so incredibly thankful for his service and was excited when they wanted to do a military set up. I think this is probably one of my favorites I've done because of what it represents and also just because of how cute Lyla looked covered in her daddy's uniform wearing a cute little red bow. It just made this session extra special.
Thank you, Kurzen family, for letting me spend so much time with your brand new little girl. She is just darling and will bring the two of you so much joy.
